Longest shots we have recorded are around 320Y with both 50s & 55s. Several yrs ago did up some 69 Sie HPBT Matchkings, but drop from muzzle is around 7.5 feet @ 600Y. Even those heavier projectiles do not buck wind well. If my memory is correct, even a very mild breeze caused windage correction of more than 21 inches. I still retain some of those what I call Match Grade rounds, but hesitate to dispose of them as they took me so long to load.
For our purposes, I consider our rifles 300M max and that is on a very calm day. Where we shoot coupled with the time of year when grass provides a natural blind, shots beyond 350 are a rarity. That is why the .308 accompanies us.
